What a Volunteer Does
A Local Living Banker's (LLB) purpose is to educate the public and sign up donors. To do this an LLB can do any or all of the following:
· Talk one-on-one with family members and friends · Answer questions about donor registration · Answer questions regarding the donation process · Make presentations to clubs and groups · Setup and man exhibits at health fairs or blood drives · Seek supportive publicity in the local media · Arrange for displays in businesses · Cooperate with other area LLBs
With the establishment of this national network of Local Living Bankers, hundreds of thousands of new potential donors could be recruited, motivated, registered and educated each year.
